I am a big fan of 'oil cloth'. I found this fabulous fabric at Hancock one day and had to buy it- which then meant I had to figure out something to make with it! I figured I would make a basic bag that could be used to haul toys, or groceries, or anything else. But, in true Amy fashion, I found a not-so-basic pattern and ended up making a purse instead. I like the way it turned out. But, when (not if, but when!) I make another one, there are several things I will change about the pattern to make it more 'user friendly.'
The exterior of the purse is oil cloth. The interior is lined with a fun blue paisley fabric that began as a sheet, but I loved the pattern too much to actually
use as a sheet! The interior has two decent sized pockets. A fun and functional purple button gives the purse a little extra character!

I looked for an ORANGE button, but couldn't find one. I do really like the purple one, though! |
